What are the fees?
•Credit / Debit Card: 2.9% of transaction amount
•ACH: 0.25% of transaction amount + $2.00 flat fee per transaction
What are the payment acceptance limits?
•The default maximum payment acceptance limit is $25,000.
•Note: You can also enable or disable card payments by contacting Sunlight. You cannot disable ACH payments.
How many payments can I accept per customer?
•You can accept up to a maximum of three payments via Orange® for any one customer.
When will I receive my first payout?
•When you first start processing live payments from your customers, you will not receive your first payout until 7 to 14 days after receiving your first successful payment. The first payout usually takes a little longer in order to establish the account.
What is the payout schedule after receiving my first payout?
•Payouts of your available account balance are made on the next business day. Note: There is a two day hold for ACH payments prior to initiation of payout.
How do I initiate a refund?
•Contact Sunlight Financial to initiate a payment refund.
How do I cancel a refund?
•Once initiated, a refund cannot be canceled. As an alternative, you can create a new charge for the customer in the amount of the refund to recoup the funds.
Can I initiate a refund on a card different from the original purchase?
•Refunds can only be sent back to the original payment method used in a charge. It’s not possible to send a refund to a different destination (e.g., another card or bank account).
When will my customer receive their refund?
•Once you initiate a refund, Sunlight submits refund requests to your customer’s bank or card issuer. Your customer should see the refund as a credit approximately 5-10 business days later, depending upon the bank.
What card types are supported?
•Sunlight accepts Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and Visa credit and debit cards.
•At this time, Sunlight does not support debit cards that require a PIN to be entered. If your customer is trying to use one of these cards, they will need to use another card to make the purchase.
How do I update my account information?
•Contact Sunlight to update your account information.
