Courtesy Call Stipulation: CCR

Consumers over age 80 will need to complete a courtesy call to move their project forward. If you're working with anyone who is over 80 years old, please let them know Sunlight will give them a call shortly or they can call Sunlight directly at (888) 850-3359.

The customer must sign their loan agreement before they can complete their courtesy call to clear the CCR stipulation.


What is this stipulation?

To make sure elderly consumers understand that they are entering into a loan agreement and understand the terms of the loan, Sunlight requires that all customers over the age of 80 complete a courtesy call with Sunlight. 

  • Sunlight will place a stip called "CCR - Courtesy Call Required” on the customer’s account. This indicates that this customer is 80+ years old and requires a courtesy call.


How do I clear this stipulation?

  • Sunlight will complete a courtesy call with the customer after they have signed loan documents.
  • For Solar:
    • During the call, we will review the key terms of the loan to ensure they understand the payment structure, the 18 month re-amortization, and that the federal investment tax credit requires sufficient tax liability.
  • For Home Improvement:
  • During the call, we will review the key terms of the loan to ensure they understand the repayment structure, confirm terms, and how draws will work.
  • The courtesy call must be completed by both the primary applicant and co-applicant, if both are over 80 years old.
  • The customer can proactively call our support line at (888) 850-3359 to complete the courtesy call. The individual who calls must be the person whose name is on the loan agreement.
  • The stipulation will be cleared after the successful completion of the call, if the Sunlight representative is confirms the customer’s understanding of the loan terms.
