Employment Stipulations: VOE, VOP, VOR and VOS
What are Employment Stipulations?
- Verification of Employment (“VOE”): If the customer marked their current employment as "N/A" or did not identify a current employer on their credit application, a VOE stipulation is placed on their account and a request is made for the customer to call Sunlight to confirm their employment information.
- Verification of Position (“VOP”): If the customer marked their current position as "N/A" or did not identify a current position/role on their credit application, a VOP stipulation is placed on their account and a request is made for the customer to call Sunlight to confirm their employment information.
- Verification of Retirement (“VOR”): If the customer marked their current employer and/or position as “retired” on their credit application, a VOR stipulation is placed on their account and a request is made for the customer to call Sunlight to confirm their previous employment information.
- Verification of Self-employment (“VOS”): If the customer marked that they are self-employed on their credit application, a VOS stipulation is placed on their account and a request is made for the customer to call Sunlight to confirm the name of their company, position, and/or the nature of work that they do.
How do I clear these stipulations?
- Only the customer can verify their employment information by calling Sunlight’s Customer Support Line at 888-850-3359. Sunlight will not accept calls from sales representatives.
- The customer may also send an email to support@sunlightfinancial.com verifying their employment. Sunlight can only accept this information from the email listed on the customer’s account, not from the sales representative’s account.
Important: If the customer is not currently employed (i.e. receiving income from alimony/benefits/etc.), the customer will be asked to verify their past employment information, irrespective of the the length of time from their previous employment.
