Installation contract Stipulations: HIA, HIB, HIC, HIE, HII, HIS, and HIN

What are these stipulations?

HIA: this stipulation will be placed when the address on the installation contract does not reasonably match the installation address.

  • How to resolve: Update the address and re-upload the installation contract. The requested address will be placed under the ‘Additional Notes’ section.

HIB: this stipulation will be placed when the Price Per Watt (“PPW”) is greater than $7 and there is no battery noted on the installation contract.

  • How to resolve: Provide confirmation that a battery is part of the project.
  • Please provide the installation contract that shows the battery and battery price. If the project does not include a battery, then the installer will need to submit a change order to comply.

HIC: this stipulation will be placed when the loan amount is greater than the total project cost listed on the installation contract.

  • How to resolve: Revise the project cost on the installation contract to match the loan amount and re-upload the installation contract.
  • If the project cost is greater than the loan amount, you must provide a reason as to why the cost is greater (i.e. down payment, discounts, etc.).
  • NOTE: Any changes to the cost or terms of the installation contract must be acknowledged by the customer with a signature and updated date.

HIE: this stipulation will be placed when no other installation contract stipulation is relevant but an updated installation contract is required.

  • How to resolve: The issue and what is needed to resolve the stipulation will be placed under the ‘Additional Notes’ section.

HII: this stipulation will be placed when the installation contract is missing the sales representative’s signature.

  • How to resolve: You must sign and re-upload the installation contract.

HIS: this stipulation will be placed when the applicant did not sign the installation contract, or it was not signed properly or completely. The stipulation may also be placed if someone other than the borrower signed the installation contract.

  • How to resolve: Ask the applicant to sign the installation contract and re-upload the installation contract.

HIN: this stipulation will be placed when the name on the installation contract does not match the borrower’s name.

  • How to resolve: Revise the name on the installation contract and re-upload the installation contract. The requested name will be placed under the ‘Additional Notes’ section.
